Engaging with Transitional Year residents is always interesting because they are on course to specialize in a variety of competitive fields and usually have educational backgrounds from different areas of the country. When I teach these accomplished residents, they can often reciprocate and educate me in other areas of medicine or offer insight to future innovations or challenges.
