If I wasn't a doctor, I'd be...
a singing pastry chef.
-
On the weekends, I'm usually...
sleeping in, making pancakes with too many chocolate chips, hanging out with other residents, watching movies at the drive in theater, or hitting up Costco.
-
My favorite part of South Dakota is...
the Black Hills.
-
It's 9:00pm on a Friday night – I am...
Drinking red wine at home, trying to decide what to Netflix with my wife, and convincing one or more children that it is really past their bedtime.
-
It's 10:00pm on a Friday night – I am...
Grinding coffee and making banana pancakes.
-
I chose this program...
because I get to work in a castle! But seriously, I was very impressed with how patient and family centered the hospital was, from little doors in the walls for kids to open, to laundry facilities for families.
-
What do you get/benefit from by choosing this program over another, similar program?
My co-residents have been incredibly supportive, a new family to laugh and celebrate with, as well as provide hugs on the tough days.
-
What's the best perk of this program?
The residents and the program director.
-
What do you know now that you wish you did prior to matching with this program?
You’re going to make it. People are invested in your success, and you will learn so much to improve the lives of kids and their families.
-
What's one thing you want a prospective resident to know about this program?
There is an amazing team of people here, all seeking a common goal.
