I chose this program...

because it is in the area of the country I plan to practice in. Also, this site allows residents to see a wide range of diagnoses to help prepare me best for my career as an attending.
What do you get/benefit from by choosing this program over another, similar program?

Supportive resident group. Comfortable autonomy with patients. Various different settings of training and multiple hospital systems.
What's the best perk of this program?

Free food. Good hours.
What surprised you about this program?

The support from co-residents. Attendings that are very approachable.
What is one thing you want a prospective resident for the Psychiatry program to know?

Find a program where you get along well with the residents. You will be with them for the next 4 years and you will need to depend on and learn from them.
