As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to participate in the health care community. You will meet many different disciplines on your rotations. GME mandates membership on committees and participation in QAPI and patient safety projects where you will make more connections. Sioux Falls is big enough to have a lot of opportunities, but not so big that you have to wait in line to participate.

Enjoy life in Sioux Falls.
Our fellows do not have call and our days are typically 8-9 hours so our fellows have more of a life than practicing physicians and the residents. This gives fellows time to study, moonlight and relax. Most of our rotations are away from other learners so you would meet them at GME activities, larger lectures and committees. However, Sioux Falls is a vibrant city with many activities for both singles and families. Our community is a prosperous, safe and clean city with a wonderful quality of life.

Learn from diverse, experienced faculty.
We are a small fellowship based out of the University of South Dakota, but we have many connections with the community. Half of our rotations do not have other learners so your time is one on one with the faculty. We alter rotations to maximize this time and minimize drive time. Seven of the rotations are run by core faculty. Our model is that of mentorship and we treat you like a colleague whose input we respect.
