Application Requirements

Application Requirements/Criteria

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
  • Board Eligibility in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Successful completion of USMLE Steps 1, 2, 3
  • ERAS application during MATCH season. If after MATCH, please request paper application as applications are accepted on a rolling basis
  • Personal Statement of interest in the Geriatric Fellowship
  • Two letters of recommendation sent directly to the program from the referring individual
  • Letter of recommendation from your residency program director (in addition to the two other letters)
  • If not applying immediately after residency, a letter of reference from your latest employer
  • Curriculum vitae
  • USMLE Certified Transcript of Scores
  • Copy of ECFMG certificate if you are a foreign medical graduate
  • Residency Graduate Certificate from either an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program
  • Copy of current visa (if applicable)

Interview Information/Process

All applications are reviewed by Geriatric Fellowship faculty prior to invitation to interview.

  • Available interview dates will be conveyed to candidates by invitation
  • Applicants will interview with the Program Director and at least one other faculty member
  • Interview schedule will be e-mailed following confirmation of interview date
