Your training will take place at both Avera and Sanford medical centers. Both health systems serve as major referral centers for a large geographic region including South Dakota and neighboring states. This ensures you will encounter patients with very complex, challenging clinical conditions. You will also have the opportunity to experience a variety of private practices in the Sioux Falls, SD area as well.

Our program is just the right size so all the residents know each other very well. Over the course of the year you spend with us you will grow very close with your co-residents. The program sponsors social events throughout the year that allows the residents to pick fun activities for everyone to join in on.
